Cirencester Church - Sustain« Back
The practice has been working with the parish of Cirencester since 1997, on a comprehensive programme of repair and enhancement of the church building. The first major phase, which was completed in 2010, involved removing the C19th floor and its structure, and replacing it with a fully breathable, insulated and heated limecrete structure. The new limestone floor finish runs through the nave and aisles, creating a level area for future re-arrangement of the seating arrangements. Planned future phases of work within the building include the cleaning and conservation of the wall and ceiling surfaces, and a new lighting system.
